2011 aust / oceanic race board champs
Does anyone know details for the next australian/oceanic race board championships? That is, where and when?

The comp is on this weekend ... And the forecast is for heavy rain, strong winds and cold weather. This will be ugly.

Was John sailing the Equipe 2?
How did the RSD2 and Phantom 377 fare in the different conditions?
Looks like the sailor is still the key factor rather than latest equipment

John Demol was on an Equipe 2 and second place James Grunfelder was on a Mistral Panam. Both were using the Severne 9.5.
The Phantom 377 was used by 3rd place Glen Morrell, a great result after upgrading from his old Megacat.
The RS D2 I believed struggled to match speed in 15knots plus knots and choppy conditions, I'm sure an extended review will be coming soon.
As far as sailor skill is concerned, of course yes its still the key factor. However, age/weight/income are the confounding factors here.
The difference in the advantage between skill level/fitness or board speed is substantial.

Cool helmet-cam vid by Glen Morrell, who placed 3rd overall:
