An example from page 288: "Like the art of finessing the wind, the art of finessing the written word requires that the practitioner practice an economy of energy. Too much movement or verbiage can cause one to flail, on a rather unstable platform." Thank you, Trey, for your articles which prompted the compliment from Laurie Nadel, which now prompts me to recognize I want to read her book again. I hope you find a copy and are able to give yourself the treat of reading, "Dancing With The Wind." It has been a real blast to combine three sports that I love so much, windsurfing, kayaking and standup paddling into one neat package. I hope to get some of these boards into production so I can share the fun. To answer your question about safety and camping gear; To avoid taking up a lot of space here I would recommend you follow the guidelines set out for the WaterTribe Everglades Challenge. You can find that website here: www.watertribe.com. Look in the rules section for the Everglades Challenge and look in the magazine section as well. Anything you ever wanted to know will be there.
