 looking for the right board
Looking for longboard with volume. (I weigh 200lbs and don't mind uphauling on stable board) I learned on original Bic Dufour Wing and loved the speed and toughness of board even though the rigging was archaic. Any suggestions on used board to get back into it . Its been years!

I think you can't go wrong with the Kona Mahalo. The bigger the better!! Check this: http://www.lbwindsurfing.com/kona/mahalo-pluses-and-minuses/Some other good boards to look for 2nd hand: Fanatic Cat, Mistral Equipe II, F2 Lightning. Good Luck

Re: looking for the right board
hey ...
i used a BIC Dufour Wing for about 5 years and still use it @ the lake when the winds are under 12 knots. Modified the base to handle newer sails and now use an 8.5 RAF/no-cam sail and still love it. Still use it for newbies cuz it's bullet proof.
After that I tried F2 Comet 330, but was not impressed. I got a BIC Samba that worked well, but was heavy.
When I decided to spend some $$$, I went for a wide board - almost 80 cm - with lotsa floatation - 160 liter - for my heavyweight frame - 100kg/220 lbs. With that 8.5 there is nothing better than planing and now am starting to look @ even larger sails - like a fully cammed 10.0...
in other words, you may find things have changed a lot. Longboards are still fun, as are SUPs, Formula boards , Free Wide boards and then the wilder ones like bump n jump, etc are probably fun, but are not in my scope....
Both BICs cost me next to nothing and the Dufour is still in use. A new FW will cost over $1000. The AHD ZEN is supposed to be a cool machine that is almost FW and I was investigating a Mistral Prodigy @ one time....
In my area there are NO longboards on the water - except me @ the lake. See few formulas and many kites. Others are more in the FW or bump n jump area here. AND we all do seem to have fun :-)
GOOD LUCK n the hunt
nb valid questions are: where are you gonna sail ie conditions and how much you weigh
