Louis,

You'll probably have to scour the used windsurfing market in your neighborhood. A friend of mine just bought a like-new Mistral Equipe LCS-XR from 1991 with a few sails for $250. I wouldn't want to try to remove the daggerboard housing, but you may be able to get a replacement board for cheap. He found his on CraigsList.

I need help, I just bought an Equipe and on my first sail the plastic daggerboard housing broke. I can not remove it without breaking it further. The daggerboard is still good. Is it possible to get a new box for the board?

Great to see I'm not the only one till enjoying my old Equipe (1) I was very pleased so finde the link to spare parts. Thank you.
The last couple of years I've been using a NP V6 8.0 with my Equipe, with my 72 kg it gives a very smooth ride on choppy waters, compared to the modern short and wide boards. With a NP Helium 8.5 I reckon I'd be planing on a sneeze and a fart, but the improvement doesn't come cheap and I'm not convinced it is big enough to justify the cost.

Hang loose

Now that old style longboards are making a comeback....I saved my 1987 equipe XR and plan to use it this fall in the SF bay area for the first time in 15 years.. for light air 10-15 kt sailing.

I have the original 6.2 race sail...and an Angulo fin - would like to get a newer generation sail (used) and fin..but not sure what to get. I think I can handle a 6.5 -7.0...I'm @ 135 - and sail shortboards during the windy season..mostly on a 4.8. wave sail.

I appreciate any suggestions!

Thanks,

-Debbie

Yes... these were cool boards with a nice ride for 2-30 knot winds I had an equipe II the light version in San Francisco. Got tired of changing the gasget and mast track car so much, but it tracked nicely and smoothe. Like to have one again.

I still have a Mistral superlight for sub-planing conditions (with a fixed tecktonics 48cm fin).

However the most remarkable race board for all points of sail of sail over 7-35+ knots (if you're less than 185 Lbs, or 84Kilograms, and strong) has to be the-
